Green Ripples…

Going Green

How innocent these creatures. Day to day living their lives, at the mercy of our mercy. To have clean water, clean food, a place to dwell as nature intended. Green ripples in the fabric of our world… Shall we care?

I saw this beaver munching peacefully in the unusually high waters of Newport News Park (Newport News, VA) this evening along the White Oak Trail.

Crimson Serenity…

Reflection…

Reflection

After a bit of nudging from a friend, I produced my very first Project 365 – Day 1 photo this year in January, 2011.

In a moment of reflection, I see my first SLR; the first thing I bought with my first paycheck from a summer job when I was 16. I used it as our High School yearbook photographer in 1979 and 1980. Canon forever.

Voices from the City

Skyline Norfolk

Cityscapes are voices; whispering, singing, sometimes shouting: “Here I am. I am unique. This is what makes me special. And I want you to experience me.”

I’m hosting a Cityscapes class/presentation this Tuesday at my photo club: Hampton Roads Digital Photography Club. I guess it’s time for me to learn what I’m supposed to teach. 🙂

This is the Norfolk, Virginia skyline during the blue hour on May 3, 2011 as seen from across the water in Portsmouth.
