This blog is provided as a window to the world in pictures as seen by me (Steven Hoagland). I’ve been an engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding since 1988. So, photography is my “fun” time. It’s what gets my blood pumping. I just love nature and wildlife. Seeing animals in their natural habitat working, playing, hunting and singing is a joy. Sunrises and sunsets have their own beautiful messages as well. Also cityscapes, landscapes, and places of historical significance call to me. I like nothing more than to go on photo excursions to new places with friends. The scenes I see speak to me, and when they move me… I click.
